What are light poles called?

Typical heights for street light poles range from 15 to 40 feet (4.5 to 12 meters). Residential areas often have shorter poles, usually ranging from 15 to 25 feet (4.5 to 7.5 meters). Urban and commercial areas may require taller poles, ranging from 25 to 40 feet (7.5 to 12 meters).
How deep do light poles go?
Poles are typically set into the ground: 10% of the overall height + 2 feet, except in questionable soil conditions. Example: Overall pole height: 30 feet, the pole should be buried: 3 feet + 2 feet = 5 feet below grade, and 25 feet above grade.
How long do street light poles last?
The average lifespan of a street lighting pole is around 50 years or more if proper maintenance is performed regularly. The lighting poles are created to be durable and can operate in any condition.
How far should light poles be from the curb?
The minimum clearance from a street light pole to the face of curb should be 2 feet.
How deep should a footing be for a light pole?
The standard for mounting a pole is 2′ plus 1′ for every increment of 10′ of pole. That would mean your minimum depth would be 5′ deep.
